Substitutions:
I have chosen hydrosols and extracts suitable for the hot climate and that are easily accessible for me. Feel free to add extracts or hydrosols which you like and are soothing.
Make sure to add a preservative which is water soluble.
How did I make Mint Glycerite?
1) Wash few fresh mint leaves, dry it.
2) Add 1/4th part mint leaves and rest 3/4th part with glycerin.
3) Agitate it every few days and filter it after 2 weeks- month.
4) Store in tight container.
5) Make sure that leaves are dried completely before adding glycerin and it isn't contaminated while filtering.
6) Glycerites generally have a shelf life of 1 year- 2 years.
3) You can add preservative by measuring the ingredients. Example: If we are making 20g batch- 5 grams leaves (25%), 14.8 grams glycerin(74%), 0.2 grams(1%) Geogard ECT preservative. ( I didn't add preservative since it has large portion of glycerin)
