Where to Buy Cosmetic Ingredients and Containers in India ?

 

My experience in finding out cosmetic suppliers....

I had to search in Google for vendors, join many Facebook groups and check in Instagram to find out reliable cosmetic suppliers. Amazon has only few ingredients. Few vendors sell at expensive rates, few doesn't give much information on ingredients sold. But, to make skin care products at home or to sell products, you would need accurate information, availability of data, technical and safety sheets. Customer service is most important. Products should have good packaging and must have manufactured and expiry dates. 

Without these, I believe, it is a risk to buy ingredient. You should be knowing the usage rate, if the ingredients can be used in lip products, are there any restrictions and etc.

To sell Cosmetics, one would need approval from local drug authorities. They might want to look at ingredient list sheets and suppliers information. So, it is a basic requirement if you want to sell products.

Finding the right price and good packaging is a bit difficult. Finding seller who sells in small quantities is even more difficult. For ingredients with usage rate of 1% , quantity of 25 grams or 30 ml( for liquids) is more than sufficient to make lot of products for self or family. When you sell the products, you might look for wholesale suppliers but for personal, retail suppliers are good. I, after searching for more than 1 year, got few supplier contacts who are reliable (as per my previous experiences only). I found their customer service is good, provide accurate information when asked, has decent prices, sell in small quantities and the most important quality of ingredients.
