How to make a Moisturizing Rose body lotion?

Winters are around and the skin started feeling dry due to the low temperatures. So, I
thought, why not make a body lotion.

What does this lotion contain?

This lotion contains Almond oil, Alkanet infused coconut oil as emollients and lanolin which works as an emollient as well as an occlusive ingredient to seal in the moisture.

It also has Allantoin to soothe irritated and flaky skin, Glycerite(humectant) to moisturize the skin.

The major portion of lotion contains water, but water and oil do not mix. So, Emulsifying wax NF and Cetearyl alcohol are added to emulsify oils into water. Sepimax zen (thickening and stabilizing polymer) is added to stabilise the emulsion. Look down into substitutions section to see what you can substitute sepimax zen with, if you don't have it.

To reduce soapy feel from emulsifier and to enhance skin feel, dimethicone 350 is added.

Lotions without a preservative is a big playground for microbes. So, to prevent microbial growth, I have used Geogard ECT (ECOCERT preservative) and a chelating agent (Sodium Gluconate) to boost the preservative performance.

Now, to make the lotion smell Rosy, I have included Rose Garden F.O from Mokshalifestyle.

Let's see the ingredients and quantities required.
